Greenbelt Academy - Juba is the 2nd Education Bridge school in South Sudan and was established in 2022. The school is located in Shirikat, and currently serve 300 students in grade 9-12. The school is expected to serve 750 students at full capacity.

Curricula Programs

Greenbelt Academy uses an integrated curriculum which is based on South Sudan national curriculum, complemented by contents from Kenyan and Ugandan curricula. This is done to achieve content rigor which ensure all our students are adequately prepared for university studies. The language of instruction in the school is English. The following list of subjects are taught: Basic Math, Additional Math, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, History, Geography, Accounting, Commerce, Religious Education, and Citizenship Education.

Greenbelt Academy aslo provides a unique curriculum in Leadership and Conflict transformation which is taught in grade 11 and 12.

Extra-Curricula Programs

Greenbelt students participate in various club activities. Some of the most popular clubs are debating clubs, writing and journalism club, environmental club and Drama and Dance club. Clubs provide opportunities for students to practice and hone their leadership skills; develop talent and build meaningful relationship beyond the classrooms. Every students is expected to participate in at least one club in the school.

Beside clubs, sport and games, are integral parts of the school programs. Soccer and volleyball are the most biggest sports. Basketball is coming soon. Students are expected to participate in sports once a week.

Residential Program

Greenbelt Academy - Juba has boarding facilities for interested students from grade 9-12. Girls are especially encouraged to become boarders because data shows that when girls are in boarding, they tend to be more successful academically and less likely to drop out. This is because boarding facilities provide a focus environment for students to study and access support from their peers and boarding staff.

All grade 12 students are expected to live in boarding for the the whole year to ensure adequate preparation for national exam and life beyond Greenbelt Academy.

Greenbelt Academy - Juba does admission once a year. Registration and admission take place between January 5th and February 25th every year.
