Child Protection and Safeguarding

Child protection and safeguarding refers to actions taken by an organization to protect children from abuse, and to prevent and respond to abuse.

Abuse is a deliberate act of ill-treatment or neglect that can cause harm to a child. Harm can be physical, emotional or sexual.

How We Safeguard Children?

Throughout our network of schools and our programs, we highly prioritize child protection and safeguarding. Our staff and volunteers have an obligation and responsibility to protect, safeguard and promote the welfare of the children and vulnerable adults with whom they work.

Here are some of the areas and ways we ensure child protection and safeguarding within our work:

Recruitment:
We employ experienced staff who are committed to children, and focus on preventing child abuse and exploitations.

Staff Training:
All our staff complete a safeguarding training to understand what constitute an abuse and how to handle it. All teachers participate in regular safeguarding workshops.

Policies & Procedures:
We have staff handbooks that clearly outline behavioural expectations and consequences for the breach of expectations.
